Ed Sacapano has been showing off his skills during last few games. We haven’t won in a while but we can see how much the team has improved and that should be enough for now.

This photo looks awkward in different multiple levels and I can’t even start explaining.
Moving on from that, *which I can’t seem to do btw*, presenting our goalkeepers, in Cebu while bending it real goooood. :))

It’s Ed Sacapaño posing for Admin Y. :)) She also took a picture with him and got it got awkward at first because we approached him while he was half naked. :)) he was like “Pwedeng magbihis muna?” and we were like “Go kuya. No pressure” but in our heads we were like, “NO. STAY HALF NAKED. WE NEED IT FOR SATURDAYS.” :)))))
It’s Ed Sacapaño and Anton Del Rosario both waiting in line to have their sweat test patch. :))

With the second leg of the qualifier looming, and the news spreading that Philippines number 1 will not be available in the second leg due to his club commitments, we look at the potential replacements that can do the job between the posts as the Azkals face Mongolia in their home turf.
Cristopher Camcam (Kaya FC)
The towering 6’2 goalkeeper is one of the future prospects for the National Team. A product of Southridge football club, he currently plays for Kaya FC in the United Football League. We saw him in action in Kaya’s 3-0 defeat last Sunday where he entered as a substitute. He made a couple of good saves to keep the score line down, but more importantly, his positioning and catching high crosses are some of his assets. At 16 he is one of the brighter prospects for the National team.

Paolo Pascual (Global Smartmatic)
The former under 19 and USC goalkeeper who just turned 20 this year was recently called up for the National Team. He was one of the hopefuls who were picked to join the Azkals, and since then he also penned a 1-year-deal with Global FC. When asked if playing for Global FC was a dream come true for him: “Yeah playing for Global and at the same time with the Azkals is such a dream come true for me, I mean with all the sacrifices I’ve put up with this sport ever since, it has finally paid off”. He saw action as a substitute in the weekend game when they sent Kaya FC crashing down to earth.
Eduard Sacapano (Army Fritz & Macziol IBM)
He is one of the most experienced members of the National Team and is expected to fulfill the responsibilities left by Etheridge. The 30-year-old currently plays for Army Fritz & Macziol IBM in the United Football League where he received the honor of “Best Goalkeeper” in the 2009-2010 season. Eduard is gearing up for the second leg qualifying match, which is not made easier by the sub zero conditions that is expected when they play the Blue Wolves in their home turf.
